Distribución geográfica y modelización del escorpión Buthus occitanus en el valle del Ebro

Abstract

[ES] Los registros de distribución de Buthus occitanus (Amoreux, 1789) localizan su área de expansión en el sur de Francia y el noreste de España, penetrando hacia el interior por el valle del Ebro. Aunque se haya constatado su presencia en el alto valle del Ebro, su límite septentrional no está bien establecido y no se conoce si su distribución se extiende hasta el País Vasco. En las últimas décadas, debido a la acumulación de gases de efecto invernadero, se ha visto un aumento progresivo de la temperatura y disminución de las precipitaciones, pronosticando un futuro ambiente de mayor aridez en la mayor parte de la Península Ibérica, pudiendo afectar a la distribución de las especies de flora y fauna. En este trabajo se ha llevado a cabo una recopilación de datos de distribución de Buthus occitanus en la Península Ibérica y un muestreo para determinar la presencia de esta especie en la Rioja Alavesa. Además, mediante el uso de programas informáticos, basados en los sistemas de información geográfica (SIG), se ha analizado el nicho de la especie y se han creado mapas de distribución real y potencial.

[EN] Registers of the distribution of Buthus occitanus (Amoreux, 1789) locate its area of expansion from the south of France to the northeast of Spain, going into the Ebro valley. Even though its presence in the Ebro’s upper valley is not verified, the northern limits of this species’ distribution is not well established, or if it extends until the Basque Country. In the last few decades, due to the accumulation of greenhouse gases, there has been a progressive increase in temperature, and a decrease in precipitations. In the future, these changes could give way to an environment of higher aridity in the Iberian Peninsula, which in turn would alter flora and fauna distributions. In order to do this work, data collection was carried out concerning the distribution of Buthus occinatus in the Iberian Peninsula, and samplings to determine the presence of this species in the Rioja Alavesa. Furthermore, using informatic programs based on geographic information systems (SIG), the niche of this species has been analyzed. Adding to this, maps were created, showing the real and potential distribution.
