Sistemas de financiación de pensiones públicas

Abstract

[SPA] El Estado español trata de garantizar un bienestar social a la población, y uno de sus componentes principales, junto a la sanidad y a la educación, son las pensiones, habiendo diferentes tipos: viudedad, orfandad, invalidez, etc. Tal vez la principal sea la de jubilación por lo que se centrará el estudio en ella, pues es la que requiere una mayor cantidad de fondos públicos. El sistema actual de pensiones dispone de un componente de solidaridad, lo cual significa que los trabajadores activos financian las pensiones de los mayores, y las de éstos a su vez serán financiadas por los trabajadores activos de las nuevas generaciones. No obstante, el aumento de la esperanza de vida y el cambio de la pirámide poblacional hacia una población más envejecida provoca que la sostenibilidad de este sistema se tambalee, siendo preciso analizar en este trabajo todos los factores que afectan al sistema español de pensiones y las propuestas de mejora existentes, con el objetivo de que los ciudadanos puedan seguir gozando de una óptima protección social.

[ENG] The Spanish State tries to guarantee the population's social welfare, and one of its main components, together with health and education, are pensions, with its different types: widowhood, orphanhood, disability, etc. Perhaps, the main one is retirement, so the study will focus on it, since it is the one that requires a greater amount of public funds. The current pension system has a solidarity component, which means that active workers finance the pensions of the elderly ones, and those will in turn be financed by the active workers of the new generations. However, the increase of the life expectancy and the change in the population pyramid towards the older population causes the sustainability of this system to wobble, and here lies the motivation to carry out this analysis of all the factors that affect the Spanish pension system and the existing improvement proposals, with the aim that Spaniards can continue enjoying the optimal social protection.
