Abstract

[ES] Este texto se interroga acerca de las posibles funciones y lugar presente de la imagen, y la relación de las imágenes con el tiempo. En conexión con estas cuestiones da cuenta de una muy interesante propuesta expositiva que ha tenido lugar recientemente en la ciudad de Bilbao, en la que quienes gestionaban el proyecto han activado en torno a sí una serie de actividades, situando la importancia de que las y los propios artistas tomen la iniciativa, sin depender de la atención de los circuitos instituidos; en el mismo contexto, se señalan algunos trabajos fotográficos fundamentales en cuanto a cómo enfrentan tiempo y caducidad humana.

[ENG] This text poses questions on the possible functions and the present place of images,and the relationship between images and time. In connection to these questions the text pays attention to a very interesting exhibitive proposal that has taken place recently in the city of Bilbao, in which the project managers have activated around them some different activities, placing the importance of being the artists themselves the ones taking the initiative, without relying on the attention of mainstream circuits; in the same context we point out some photographic work that we consider fundamental attending to the way they face time and human mortality.
