El estado de bienestar y los permisos para el cuidado de la infancia en la Comunidad Autónoma del País Vasco

Abstract
Un elemento que caracteriza al estado de bienestar es su compromiso con el nivel y calidad
de vida de las personas. Las políticas redistributivas implantadas a tal fin han tomado como
referencia un modelo de familia con una marcada división sexual del trabajo: los hombres
como proveedores de ingresos a través de un empleo asalariado y las mujeres como proveedoras
de los cuidados y del bienestar familiar. Actualmente, y a pesar de su incorporación
en el mercado laboral, las mujeres siguen asumiendo mayoritariamente las responsabilidades
del cuidado. Este artículo se interesa por las medidas que, a nivel de la Comunidad Autónoma
del País Vasco, utilizan los padres y madres para cuidar de forma corresponsable a
sus hijas/os, especialmente cuando ambos tienen un trabajo remunerado.
