El Bronce de Ascof no sólo es la primera prueba documental de la concesión de la ciudadanía romana a un grupo de provinciales, sino que también muestra la relación de la gens Pompeia con Hispania, específicamente en el valle del Ebro, región en donde se reclu-tó esta unidad militar. = The Bronze of Ascoli not only it is the first documental test of the grant of the Roman citizenship to a group of provincial, but also shows the relationship of the gens Pompeia with Hispania specifically in the Ebro valley, region in which was recruited this military unit.
