La capilla de la Inmaculada Concepción de la Catedral de Santa Maria de Vitoria-Gasteiz bajo patronato de los Velasco

Abstract

In this article we focus on the historical-artistic study of the chapel of the Immaculate Conception in Santa Mary's cathedral of Vitoria-Gasteiz. This time we study the moment in which it passed to the Velasco family. To do so, we analyzed its different owners from the 17th century up to the 20th and their contributions to the chapel, highlighting the construction of its main altarpiece during the 18th century.; En este artículo nos centramos en el estudio histórico artístico de la capilla de la Inmaculada Concepción de la catedral de Santa María de Vitoria-Gasteiz. En esta ocasión estudiamos el momento en el que pasó a manos de la familia de los Velasco. Para ello hemos analizado a sus distintos patronos desde el siglo XVII hasta el XX y sus aportaciones a la capilla, destacando la construcción del retablo mayor de la misma durante el siglo XVIII.; Artikulu honen helburua Vitoria-Gasteizko Santa Maria katedraleko Sortzez Garbiko kaperaren historia era artea ikertzea da. Oraingo honetan Velasco familiaren eskuetara pasatu zen momentuan jarri dugu arreta. Horretarako XVII. mendetik XX.mendera arte izan dituen patroiak jarraitu ditugu eta hauek kaperari egin dizkioten aportazioak, XVIII.mendean eraiki zuten erretaula nagusia azpimarratuz.
