Abstract

This essay raises a study on artistic training of women in the Basque Country throughtout the 20th century. On the one hand, the text examines the different options and the most usual tendencies followed by those female interested in artistic training. Secondly, the author investigate how this education influenced the art production and the way of living of those women artists. Finally, it reflects on the changes that have been taking place over decades; Este texto plantea un estudio sobre la educación artística femenina impartida en el País Vasco a lo largo del siglo XX.Por una parte, se revisan las diferentes opciones y las tendencias más usuales que siguieron aquellas alumnas interesadas en la formación artística. En segundo lugar, se intenta identificar de qué manera influyó tal educación femenina en la producción y en el modo de vida de estas artistas.
