dc.description.abstract | Assuming methodologically that there is something to be understood under the term "art" I try to discuss first the idea that art is a kind of language. There is no identity among them. People urged to understand the artistic phenomenon use as explanation the linguistic model, with a sort of an inferiority feeling. I call that the "linguistic complex" of art. Then, I go to see which could be the elements for an adequate concept of language use today and after that I make a comparison with the idea of art. At the end of the paper, I ask about the possibility of meaning within the works of art and, if there is not, how can we adequately understand that human activity. | |
