Los talleres de costura para el Ejército sublevado en Galicia (1936-1939)

Abstract

This article examines the birth and evolution of the sewing workshops for the rebel Army in Galicia from its birth to the end of the civil war and provides a sociological analysis of the origin of its members and their motivation to join them. For this purpose, a wide repertoire of documentary sources from public and private archives, press and oral sources is used to question the image of these workshops transmitted by the propaganda and apologists of the Franco regime. It concludes by questioning the "spontaneity" and "voluntariness" of the initiative and by highlighting the real limits of the interclasses origin of its members, their markedly Catholic and conservative background and the diversity of motives and interests that inspired them.; En este artículo se examina el nacimiento y la evolución de los talleres de costura para el Ejército sublevado en Galicia desde su nacimiento hasta su desaparición tras el final de la guerra civil y se realiza un análisis sociológico del origen de sus afiliadas y de las motivaciones que las impulsan. Para ello se utiliza un amplio repertorio de fuentes documentales procedente de archivos públicos y privados, prensa y fuentes orales que permite cuestionar la imagen de los mismos transmitida por la propaganda y los apologistas del régimen franquista. Se concluye cuestionando la "espontaneidad" y la "voluntariedad" de la iniciativa y poniendo de relieve los límites reales de la procedencia interclasista de sus afiliadas, su extracción marcadamente católica y conservadora y la diversidad de los móviles e intereses que las inspiraban.
