Notas sobre fascismo y mundo antiguo en España

Abstract

[ES] El artículo analiza las referencias al mundo clásico y a la historia antigua de España en dos importantes producciones intelectuales de Falange Española. Se trata de los escritos políticos de José Antonio Primo de Rivera (1931-1936) y del libro de Antonio Tovar "El imperio de España" (Madrid, 1936, 2ª ed. 1941). En la segunda parte se analiza la Introducción a las "Obras" de J. Primo de Rivera, por las alusiones a figuras intelectuales como Mommsen y Ortega y Gasset.

[EN] This paper briefly deals with the references to the classical world and the ideas about the ancient history of Spain found in two important intellectual productions of the Falange española. These are the political writings of J. A. Primo de Rivera (1931-1936) and the book by Antonio Tovar "El Imperio de España" (Madrid 1936, 2nd ed. 1941). In the second part of the paper the Introduction to the "Obras" of primo de Rivera is also analysed, because of its allusions to intellectual figures like Mommsen or Ortega y Gasset, which may provide new elements for discussion.
