La situación de los adolescentes migrantes que entran en contacto con el sistema de justicia juvenil en la Comunidad Autónoma Vasca

Abstract

[EN] The thesis aims to know the experiences of Latin American and Maghrebian youth who have been in the Youth Justice System of the Basque Autonomous Community. This work is focused on researching how they live their different migration processes in their journey to Basque Country, and what kind of needs and challenges both collectives face. The focus is also put in their experiences and perceptions of different measures they have been sentenced for committing crime when they were underaged. To find answers to that questions the research is based on juvenile crime and law literature, and statistics of Juvenile Justice in the Basque Country. The empirical data is collected through 15 semi-structured interviews with Maghrebian and Latin American youth.

[ES] La tesis pretende conocer las experiencias de los jóvenes latinoamericanos y magrebíes que han pasado por el Sistema de Justicia Juvenil de la Comunidad Autónoma Vasca. Este trabajo se centra en investigar cómo viven sus diferentes procesos migratorios en su viaje a Euskadi, y qué tipo de necesidades y retos afrontan ambos colectivos. También se quieren conocer sus experiencias y percepciones sobre las diferentes medidas a las que han sido condenados por cometer delitos cuando eran menores de edad. Para encontrar respuestas a estas preguntas, la investigación se basa en literatura sobre delincuencia juvenil y legislación, y en las estadísticas de la Justicia Juvenil en el País Vasco. Los datos empíricos se recogen a través de 15 entrevistas semiestructuradas con jóvenes magrebíes y latinoamericanos.
