El Museo Escolar de Puçol: un museo comunitario superviviente en el tiempo

Abstract

The Puçol School Museum (Elche) emerged in the 1970s as a result of an educational experience developed at the school in the Elche district of the same name. Around knowledge of the environment, an education was structured that, in close connection with the community, patrimonialized the traditional life of this rural area. Since its origins, volunteering has represented a crucial element in the future of the institution, which in 2009 was included in the Unesco Register of Good Practices for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity; El Museo Escolar de Puçol (Elche) surgió en la década de los 70 como resultado de una experiencia educativa desarrollada en la escuela de la pedanía ilicitana homónima. En torno al conocimiento del medio se estructuró una educación que, en íntima conexión con la comunidad, patrimonializó la vida tradicional de esta partida rural. Desde sus orígenes, el voluntariado ha representado un elemento crucial en el devenir de la institución, que en 2009 fue incluida en el Registro de Buenas Prácticas de Salvaguarda del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad de la Unesco.
