El patrimonio histórico educativo del Instituto Columela de Cádiz desde el enfoque de la conservación y restauración

Abstract

A partir de la experiencia derivada de la tesis doctoral Las colecciones científicas de los institutos históricos de Andalucía. Investigación y análisis de su museografía y los procesos de conservación y restauración [1] se realiza un artículo sobre el instituto gaditano Columela [2]. Para ello se aporta un enfoque desde la Historia de la Conservación y Restauración de los Bienes Culturales [3], ya que se indaga en el devenir de las colecciones educativas. Se reflexiona sobre los cambios producidos en el material pedagógico a la vez que se realizaba la depuración del profesorado por razones ideológicas tras la Guerra Civil; This article presents the educational heritage of the Columela secondary school in Cádiz from the perspective of the discipline of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Property. It assesses its current situation and reflects its past, in order to delve into the material and historical causes of the changes and the disappearance of part of this legacy. The article examines the relationship between the history of education in Spain and the changes in historical heritage perspectives, since the cabinet of natural sciences, the physics and chemistry laboratory, the archive itself and the library all constitute a prime example of scientific and illustrated teaching.
