Basic examples of light-matter interactions include, but are not limited to, reflection, transmission, scattering, absorption, and emission of light. These interactions are crucial for a variety of applications, ranging from the development of optical devices, such as lenses and mirrors, to the creation of energy solutions like solar panels, and even in medical imaging techniques and communication technologies.
