dc.description.abstract[EN] This contribution aims to offer a general portrait of the author Hugo Scholz (1896-1987), born in Ottendorf and displaced to Western Germany when Ottendorf was declared Czech territory after 1945. Established in Allgäu, he went on with his literary production, which he had started in the 20s. This article offers an overview on the main features of Scholz's literary work to the Spanish speaking readership. Known as Heimatdichter (Poet of the 'Home'), his prolific work shares many of Heimatliteratur's features, such as presenting Heimat as a close and isolated world, typified characters, Heimat as a community of hierarchy, and happy, harmonious endings. After this general analysis of Scholz's work, several selected passages are offered in Spanish translation.en
